20 June 2007 marks the 15th anniversary of the re-introduction of the Estonian kroon - a day truly memorable for Estonians. The Estonian kroon symbolizes the stability and success of our country. To celebrate this symbol, we have dedicated a golden collector coin to the 15th anniversary of the monetary reform. This coin differs from all other earlier collector coins for its triangular shape. It is unique since triangular coins are quite rare in the world. Three collector coins have been issued in earlier years to commemorate the monetary reform. The new coin depicts the national flower of Estonia - the cornflower. For the first time, an Estonian coin bears the indication of an alloy Au 999.9. The coin has been designed by Ivar Sakk and minted in the Mint of Finland Ltd.
